Nutrition Proposal

You will know exactly what food choices to make for a life full of physical wellbeing, cognition, and happiness.

Alzheimer’s Disease is on the rise, Dementia is on the rise, Heart Disease is on the rise, Cancer is on the rise, Type II Diabetes is on the rise.  What are we doing that is continuing to make this happen?  It’s in our diets.

What we put in our bodies to run our brains, heart, kidney, liver, our whole system matters on a level of whole body wellness involving physical fitness, cognition, gut and liver health, and hormonal balance.

Unfortunately, a governing team, like the FDA, doesn’t regulate how much heavy metals are in foods or what trans fats do to your brain over time or even what artificial dye does to your immune system.  However, we are fortunate to have several doctor’s finally figure out and pinpoint why these diseases are going up.  I have spent years and many hours over the course of years studying nutrition and these doctors’ findings and have put this very valuable information together in a 9 week program.

Introducing 9 Week Nutrition Program

I go over the basics of Nutrition so that you understand important things such as:

  • What a High Density Lipoprotein actually is and why is it considered healthy?

  • Why are Triglyceride Levels important to know?

  • What is a Triglyceride, and why are they associated with Cholesterol?

  • What is a Trans Fat and why is that bad for you?

  • What foods are processed with Heavy Metals or toxic chemicals? (and why should you know this!),

  • ...and how is the Microbiota involved in all of this?

Course Outline:

Weeks 1 - 3:  Understanding the Basics of Nutrition - We go over fats, cholesterol, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, microbiota, free radicals, antioxidants, calories, alcohol and processed food. (It’s a lot here, but I keep it simple).  These three classes last one hour, one class/week.

We take weight, fat percentage and circumference measurements at the beginning of the program and at the end.  These are optional and you can take whichever measurements you choose.

Weeks 4 - 9: Topics and Goals - Each week we go over a different topic or topics, with this we’ll make one or two changes related to these topics for that week.  Examples include: understanding sugar, oils our body can’t process and the importance of water.  These sessions last 30 minutes, one session/week.

Noelle’s Background:

I have been passionate about health and nutrition my entire life. Growing up in a home where my mom, who had farm roots, prepared all our meals from scratch, I developed a deep appreciation for wholesome, homemade food at a young age. This early exposure to healthy eating naturally led me to explore nutrition further.

During my Kinesiology degree, I enrolled in as many nutrition courses as possible, which laid a solid foundation for my understanding of dietary principles. Eager to expand my knowledge, I pursued certification as a Nutritionist through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and became an active member of a community of certified nutritionists. My ongoing education includes reading extensively about the latest scientific research on optimal eating habits and understanding how certain foods can contribute to disease.

Noelle’s Philosophy:

Diet is the cornerstone of health. Early on, I believed that exercise alone could offset the effects of poor dietary choices, but as I delved deeper into nutrition, I realized how critical food is to overall well-being. The impact of what you consume on every cell of your body cannot be overstated—you truly cannot out-exercise a bad diet. While weight loss can be achieved through diet alone, it is nearly impossible to lose weight through exercise without proper nutrition. This underscores the significance of the choices you make about what you eat.

Am I extreme when it comes to diet? Or is it simply returning to a natural way of eating? I choose to eat organic foods, as they come directly from Mother Earth, which I believe is the most natural approach. In contrast, processed, chemically-laden, profit-driven, unnatural foods dominate modern diets. We should eat as humans have for the past 10,000 years, not as we started to in the 1970s with the advent of highly processed, high-sugar, additive-filled, and chemically-altered foods.
